The First Few Months Are the Ones That Matter
Hormone therapy is not a quick prescription. Getting it right means starting a dose, seeing how you respond, and adjusting — usually more than once. That initial stretch is where most of the work happens, and it is also where being close by changes the quality of what we can do.
Fifteen minutes means we can see you during that period rather than managing you at arm’s length. If a dose isn’t sitting right six weeks in, you come in and we sort it out, instead of trading messages and waiting for the next scheduled call.
Once you’re settled, most patients are seen a couple of times a year, and check-ins in between can be done by telehealth. The drive matters at the beginning and barely at all afterwards.
Getting Here From Kennesaw
Take Barrett Parkway west and stay on it. We’re at the far western end, in the shopping center where Barrett Parkway meets Dallas Highway (GA-120), with The Home Depot immediately to the east and IHOP just south in the same complex. If you reach Target or Chick-fil-A on the south side of Dallas Highway, you’ve gone one intersection too far.
Coming from the Old 41 side of Kennesaw is slightly quicker in traffic — 6.3 miles against 7.1 straight down Barrett. Either way it’s about 15 minutes. Parking is free and directly in front of the suite. We’re at 3451 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW, Ste 160, Marietta, GA 30064. Call (678) 919-4845. We’re open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Full directions and hours are on our clinic location page.
Driving from elsewhere in the area? We also have hormone therapy pages for Acworth, Powder Springs and Dallas.

What We Treat, and What You’ll Pay
Perimenopause and menopause bring a set of symptoms that get dismissed one at a time and make sense together: hot flashes, night sweats, sleep that breaks at 3am, brain fog, mood changes, low libido, vaginal dryness, and a change in where your body puts weight.
Not all of it is hormonal, and we start by finding out which part is. Your provider reviews your symptoms, your history and your labs before recommending anything — and for some women the right answer is a non-hormonal one.
Hormone therapy starts at $80 per month, including medication, provider visits and monitoring labs. No membership fee, no annual commitment, and the consultation is free. See the full price list.
If weight is part of what brought you here, our medical weight loss page for Kennesaw covers that side, and plenty of patients do both at one visit.
What Treatment Looks Like
Systemic hormone therapy — patch, gel, cream or capsule — is used for symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats that affect the whole body. Low-dose vaginal estrogen is a separate approach for vaginal and some urinary symptoms; it does not treat hot flashes. If you still have a uterus, systemic estrogen usually requires a progestogen to protect the uterine lining.
Systemic hormone therapy may not be appropriate for women with certain histories, including hormone-sensitive cancers, blood clots, stroke, liver disease or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Some patients need specialist evaluation. Your provider will go through this with you.
Care is provided by Jena Bryant, APRN, FNP-BC, who spent twelve years in labor and delivery before moving into hormone and metabolic health, working under nurse protocol agreement with Kent Cohen, MD, FACEP.
If you’ve been told hormone therapy is dangerous, our write-up of what the WHI study actually found is worth ten minutes.

No. We have one clinic, in Marietta at 3451 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW, Ste 160 — about 15 minutes from Kennesaw via Old 41 Highway and Barrett Parkway.
From $80 per month, including medication, provider visits and monitoring labs. No insurance is billed, there is no membership fee, and consultations are free.
More often at the start — an initial visit, labs, and a recheck after your starting dose. Once you are stable, most patients are seen twice a year, and check-ins in between can be done by telehealth. At about 15 minutes, most Kennesaw patients prefer to come in during the early months.
We prefer adjustable delivery — patches, gels, creams and capsules — because a pellet dose cannot be changed once it is inserted. If you are already on pellets and doing well, we are glad to monitor your levels.
Yes. Perimenopause is often when symptoms are most disruptive and when women are most often told to wait. Lab values fluctuate considerably during perimenopause, so your provider weighs your symptoms and history alongside any testing rather than relying on a single result.
Bioidentical means structurally identical to the hormones your body produces. Some bioidentical preparations are FDA-approved; compounded ones are not. Bioidentical does not automatically mean safer, and we will go through the actual risks and benefits for your situation.
