How Our Program Works, and What It Costs in Marietta
You start with a free consultation. We go through your health history, your medications, what you have already tried, and what you are actually trying to achieve. We draw labs here, or send you to LabCorp if that is easier, and run a body composition scan to get a real baseline.
From there your provider builds the plan. For most patients that means semaglutide or tirzepatide, but not always — if a GLP-1 is not right for you, we will say so and tell you what is. You come back for dose adjustments as you titrate, and we track body composition rather than just weighing you.

How Much Weight Will I Lose, and How Fast?
Most patients notice reduced appetite within the first week. Weight change takes longer, and that is by design — GLP-1 dosing starts low and steps up gradually over several weeks so your body tolerates it. The early phase is about finding your dose, not chasing the scale.
What happens after that depends on your starting point, your dose, how you respond, and what you do alongside the medication. We will give you a realistic range at your consultation once we have your labs and your body composition. What we will not do is quote you a guaranteed number. Response varies too much between people, and anyone promising you a specific result before they have seen your labs is selling something.

- Tirzepatide: targets two — GLP-1 and GIP. Clinical trials have generally shown larger average weight loss than semaglutide, with a somewhat different side-effect profile.
Larger average loss does not mean it is the right one for you. Individual response varies widely, and the choice depends on your health history, what you tolerate during titration, and what you are trying to achieve. InBody Scans: Tracking Fat Loss, Not Just Weight
We use InBody scans to go deeper than the scale with medical weight loss in Marietta. This high-tech body composition analysis helps us measure muscle, fat, and water distribution so we can tailor your plan and track progress more accurately.

Yes. Semaglutide requires an evaluation and prescription from an appropriately licensed prescribing clinician. At our clinic, Jena Bryant, APRN, FNP-BC provides care under a nurse protocol agreement with delegating physician Kent Cohen, MD, FACEP.
That’s what the consultation determines. We look at your health history, current medications, labs, and goals. GLP-1 therapy isn’t appropriate for everyone — certain thyroid cancer histories and a few other conditions rule it out — and there are other paths if it’s not a fit for you.
They work differently. Semaglutide targets one receptor; tirzepatide targets two, and trials have generally shown larger average losses with tirzepatide. But individual response varies a lot, and the right choice depends on your history, tolerance, and goals. Here’s a full comparison of the two.
It’s a real risk, and it’s the part most programs ignore. Rapid weight loss takes muscle along with fat, which leaves you lighter but weaker and slows your metabolism long-term. We track it with InBody body composition scans rather than just weighing you, and we build in protein targets and resistance training so the weight you lose is the weight you want to lose.
Appetite generally returns, and without a plan, weight often follows. That’s not a failure of the medication — it’s what happens when the thing suppressing appetite stops. We plan for it from the start: building habits during treatment, tapering deliberately rather than stopping abruptly, and using maintenance strategies afterward.
The common ones are gastrointestinal — nausea, constipation, reflux — and they’re usually worst in the first weeks after a dose increase, which is why we titrate gradually. Less common but more serious risks exist, including pancreatitis, and GLP-1s are contraindicated for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. We go through your full history before prescribing.
Not quite. Ozempic and Wegovy are brand-name products associated with semaglutide. Mounjaro and Zepbound are brand-name products associated with tirzepatide. The compounded preparations offered through this program are not those brand-name products, we offer the compounded version of these products.
