What Semaglutide Is, and What It Costs Here
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It mimics a hormone your gut produces after eating, slowing how quickly your stomach empties and reducing appetite signalling in the brain. Most patients describe it as food simply taking up less space in their thinking.
At our Marietta clinic it is $50 per weekly injection at doses up to 1 mg, or $199 per month. That covers your medication, provider visits, lab work drawn in our office or at LabCorp, InBody body composition scans, and monitoring between visits. There is no consultation fee, no enrollment fee and no annual commitment.

Is Compounded Semaglutide the Same as Ozempic or Wegovy?
The semaglutide we prescribe is compounded by a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. It contains the same active molecule as the brand-name products, but compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished products, and they are not Ozempic, Wegovy or any other brand formulation. The FDA approves brand-name drugs; it does not approve individual compounded preparations.
Compounding pharmacies are state-licensed and regulated, and the pharmacy we use is licensed in Georgia. You should understand that distinction before you start, and your provider will go through it with you at your consultation.
How Our Semaglutide Program Works, and What It Costs
You start with a free consultation. We go through your health history, your medications, anything you have already tried, and what you are actually trying to achieve. We draw labs here or send you to LabCorp, and run a body composition scan for a real baseline.
If semaglutide is appropriate, you start at a low dose and titrate up gradually over the following weeks. You pay $50 per weekly injection at doses up to 1 mg, or $199 a month, and that covers the medication, your provider visits, your labs and your InBody scans. Nothing is added later.
If your provider thinks tirzepatide is the better fit, or that neither is right for you, they will say so at the consultation.
Who Semaglutide Is For
The general clinical criteria are a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above alongside a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea or high cholesterol.
Those are starting points, not a checklist that guarantees a prescription. Your health history, current medications and lab results all factor in. Semaglutide is not appropriate for everyone, and if we do not think it is right for you we will say so at the consultation rather than after you have paid for something.

Dosing, Side Effects and Protecting Muscle
Treatment starts at a low dose and increases gradually over weeks. This is deliberate — slow titration is how side effects stay manageable, and it gives your body time to adjust. Your provider sets your schedule based on how you respond, not on a fixed calendar.
Weight change varies considerably between people. Dose, starting point, protein intake, sleep, activity and individual biology all affect it, and results are not guaranteed. What we commit to is measuring honestly and adjusting when something is not working.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, constipation, reflux and sometimes diarrhea. They are usually worst in the days after a dose increase and ease as your body adapts. Smaller meals, adequate water and slower titration all help.
Less common but more serious effects exist, including pancreatitis and gallbladder problems. Semaglutide is not appropriate for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. Your provider reviews your history against these before prescribing, and will tell you which symptoms warrant stopping the medication and calling us at (678) 919-4845.
When weight comes off quickly, some of what you lose is lean muscle rather than fat. This is why we run InBody scans instead of relying on the scale — if lean mass is trending down we can respond by adjusting protein, slowing the dose escalation, or adding resistance work. I myself usually gained weight from eating to much and the shots along with the great nutrition advice by the staff help a lot with getting your weight down. The facility is very clean and beautiful. Staff is very friendly and personable. They also are very knowledgeable with any questions you may have. Also a plus is it works well with your schedule. I only need to come in once a week or so for the shots and if you’re scared of shots like I am this one isn’t nearly that bad. The shot just feels like a tiny pinch but other than that this place is well deserving of a 5 star and I would recommend it to anyone looking to lose weight healthily.
