What the $80 Covers
- Your hormone medication
- Provider visits, as often as your plan needs them
- Monitoring lab work, drawn here or at LabCorp
- Dose adjustments — and the first year usually involves at least one
What it does not cover: your initial diagnostic lab panel, which is quoted at your consultation and depends on what your provider orders, and any treatment outside hormone therapy.
We would rather set that out plainly than advertise a low monthly figure and add the labs afterwards.
Why Comparing Quotes Is Harder Than It Looks
Most clinics in this area do not publish hormone therapy pricing at all. When you call around, the figure you are given is often a medication cost with several things sitting outside it.
Three questions make quotes comparable:
Are provider visits included, or billed per visit? Hormone therapy involves several visits in the first few months. At a per-visit clinic that adds up quickly, and it is exactly when you most need to be seen.
Is monitoring lab work included? Hormone therapy requires follow-up labs. If they are billed separately, the real annual cost can be very different from the monthly quote.
Is there a membership or enrollment fee? Some clinics charge an annual or monthly membership on top of treatment. Some charge for the consultation itself — locally that runs to $125 or more at one practice we are aware of. Ours is free.
Ask those three and the comparison becomes straightforward. We publish our answers because we are confident in how they compare.

Pellets, and Why the Cost Shape Differs
If you have been quoted for pellet therapy elsewhere, the cost works differently — a larger sum per insertion, every three to four months, rather than a monthly figure. Depending on the clinic that can work out higher or lower over a year, so compare on an annual basis rather than per visit.
We use adjustable delivery and do not insert pellets. The reasoning is clinical rather than financial and we set it out on our comparison of pellets, injections and creams.

Whether hormone therapy is appropriate for you depends on your symptoms, your history and your labs, and for some women it is not. Your provider will tell you that at the consultation rather than after you have paid for anything. More on how we approach it on the hormone therapy page, and if you are still working out what is happening, start with perimenopause symptoms.
